There were issues in the previous build, so I’ve prepared a new build where those problems are resolved. To read a list of everything that got fixed, scroll down past this beautiful artwork by maripris_!
Actually, I really want to encourage you to go check out all of this artist’s work; the rest of their Yandere Sim illustrations are absolutely phenomenal. Sumire’s ghost talking to Oka – the Journalist watching as Ryoba is handcuffed by police – I really like the scenes that this artist has chosen to bring to life. Go check ’em out!
Improvements
- The game should now be able to detect any controller from the “8bitdo” manufacturer, and update button prompts accordingly.
- The “Event IDs” text file now has much more clear instructions on how to add voice lines to events.
- A “BACKUP COPIES” folder has been created in the StreamingAssets/JSON directory. This is where backup copies of json files will be stored from now on. When would you need to use a backup copy? Check the big paragraph below, in the Fixes section.
Fixes
- If the player tried to load into Custom Mode using old Custom Mode data that was incompatible with the latest updates to Custom Mode, loading into the Custom Mode menu would cause the game to softlock. This should no longer happen. But, for future reference, if it DOES happen, you can fix it by replacing your Misc.JSON file with the backup Misc.JSON file that is included in the backup folder mentioned above.
- In custom Mode, if the player instructed female students to use custom textures and then selected a female delinquent, all other female characters would appear as female delinquents. This bug has been fixed.
- For Custom Mode senpai interaction events with voiced lines, the game was always playing the “sabotaged” lines even for events that had not been sabotaged. This bug has been fixed.
- In 1980s Mode, if the player sewed a bikini, wore it, and then performed a laughing animation, the protagonist’s lower body would clip through the bikini. This bug has been fixed.
- The “You’re on an outdated build of the game!” text was not correctly detecting whether or not the player was on the latest build. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player walked near a door while holding a bloody “magical girl wand,” a blood texture would appear on the door. This bug has been fixed.
- Any 1980s Mode rival who changed into a swimsuit would have black blobs on their body. This bug has been fixed.
- Sumire was not wearing the correct socks in the tutorial of 1980s Mode. This bug has been fixed.
- Gema’s appearance was incorrect in his student portrait. This bug has been fixed.
- Fixed typo in the “Ideas” text for Expulsion.
