March 17th Bug-Fixing Build

Oops – once again, there were a couple of significant bugs in the last build, so I’ve released a new build to fix those issues before I resume working on Amai.

To read a list of everything that got fixed in the latest build, scroll down past this adorable artwork of Hanako by kyorinsan_831!

Sometimes, people ask me questions about the rivals likes, dislikes, and interests. Through these questions, I’ve shared a lot of information about each rival. For example, it’s canon that Hanako has a pet rabbit, and that her favorite food is ice cream. Some of this trivia has been collected and shared in fan communities, which is probably why this artist chose to draw Hanako holding rabbit-shaped ice cream. It makes me so happy to know that people enjoy learning new things about the game’s characters and incorporating those details into their artwork!

Fixes

  • In 1980s Mode Mission Mode, if the player tried to use the “Load Mission” feature to load a mission about killing any rival character after Kaguya, the game would display an error message claiming that the mission was invalid because that character had not been implemented yet. This bug has been fixed.
  • The raincoat is no longer available during Yaukza Mode. It didn’t provide any sort of tactical advantage (the player couldn’t use it as a disguise and the player wasn’t required to remove blood from their uniform in that mode) and it created bugs, so it truly didn’t need to remain available.
  • If Osana’s corpse was concealed in a garbage bag and Raibaru found the garbage bag while searching for Osana, she would just stand next to the bag while texting on her phone, which was not the correct or intended action for her to perform in that scenario. This bug has been fixed.
  • If a student noticed a corpse on the same frame that they were attacked by the player, there was a chance that they would enter the “reacting to corpse” animation instead of the “being murdered” animation. This bug should, hopefully, be fixed now.
  • In 202X, if the player customized their Senpai with certain hairstyles, he would appear bald in the “Kokona asks Ayano for help with a play rehearsal” cutscene. This bug has been fixed.
  • Due to a bug, the game failed to transition from the “Info-chan texts Ayano to tell her about Amai” cutscene to the credits cutscene. This bug has been fixed.
  • One of the game’s debug commands – press the “Z” key to spill water where you’re standing – was inconveniencing a lot of players, so it has been disabled.
  • In Custom Mode, if the player assigned hairstyle #75 to a female student, a grey line would appear across her collarbone. This bug has been fixed.
  • Due to an oversight, it was possible for the player to see some Amai spoilers by meeting certain criteria. This oversight has been corrected.
  • If the player completed the Asylum stealth mission on Week 2 of 1980s Mode, they would be sent to 202X Mode. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the player from being able to start a new Custom Mode playthrough.
