January 13th Bug-Fixing Build

Another build! I believe that, with this update, I’ve taken care of all significant issues that existed in the January 5th update. At least, I hope so!

To see a list of everything that was changed or fixed in the latest build, please scroll down past this absolutely adorable artwork from Aya_0w0__!

Improvements

  • The “Dreams” that the player can experience by eating ramen show pieces of backstory/lore from the Aishi bloodline, and it wouldn’t make sense for anyone outside of the bloodline to experience those dreams. Thus, Custom Mode protagonists are no longer allowed to purchase ramen.
  • From now on, whenever the player is in Custom Mode, the text “Custom Mode” will appear at the top of the calendar screen. (This will make it easier for bug reporters to know whether or not the game has bugged out and forgotten that Custom Mode is supposed to be active.)
  • Checking the “Stats” screen will now display the player’s current reputation. This way, you can check what your reputation is at home without having to go to school just to see it displayed as a number.

Fixes

  • If the player got a Game Over in Mission Mode while in the middle of performing an attack animation, the attack manager’s “dramatically slow down and speed up time” code would over-ride the game over code, and the player would see the characters continuing to move around at the Game Over screen. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player created a Custom Mode save file, exited to the main menu, entered the Mission Mode menu, entered school, and then returned to the main menu, the player’s Custom Mode save file would transform back into a normal save file. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player created a Custom Mode save file and then entered the Mission Mode menu, all of the student names shown in the Mission Mode menu would be the ones from the Custom Mode save file. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, if the player assigned any hair color aside from “Default” to any character, that character’s eyes would turn white if the eye color was also set to Default. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, if the player gave the protagonist Ryoba’s “loose hair” hairstyle, the protagonist would automatically put the hair into a ponytail upon arriving at school. This bug has been fixed.
  • An exploit made it possible to use the “Socialize” to force a student to stand still forever and never run out of patience with the player. This exploit has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, if the player assigned the “Default” hair color to their Senpai, their Senpai would spawn with black hair in school. This bug has been fixed.
  • The text “Toggle Yakuza Mode” was appearing in the 202X Mission Mode screen, when it should have been exclusive to 1989. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player purchased manga and then reset the week, their purchased manga would still be in their home. This bug has been fixed.
  • In 1980s Mode, in the home scene, the “Stats” screen was displaying Ayano’s face instead of Ryoba’s face. This bug has been fixed.
  • The Death Demon Easter Egg displayed text that referred to teachers as students. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed bug that would cause the game to count a kidnapping as a murder.
  • Fixed texture error with Miyuji’s hair accessory.
