January 11th Bug-Fixing Build

New build! More fixes, more improvements!

To see a list of everything that changed since the last build, please scroll down past this pretty 80s-style artwork of Sumire Saitozaki by _kirnx!

Improvements

  • From now on, in Custom Mode, the portrait displaying on the protagonist’s Stats screen will reflect the appearance that the player designed for the protagonist, rather than just being a photo of Ryoba.
  • It is now possible to scroll the map farther to the side when placing map markers in Custom Mode, so that the player can put characters at the very edges of the map if they wish.

Fixes

  • The player was not intended to be able to attend class in Yakuza Mode, since they are an intruder at school and their appearance is extremely suspicious. However, due to a bug, it was possible to attend class even while looking very obviously like an intruder! This bug has been fixed.
  • Many players reported a bug that prevented them from being able to set student likes/dislikes, or use any feature that involved student likes/dislikes (such as socializing or gossiping). I believe that I found the cause of the bug and fixed it. Please test for it in the latest build.
  • If the player was typing a student’s name or profile in the Custom Mode menu, they could inadvertently type the hotkey for changing the background music (“m”) which would be strange and disorienting while typing names and sentences. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player attempted to load their Alternate Timeline save file after watching the credits roll, they would load into the school scene and watch Ryoba get arrested, which wasn’t supposed to happen in that timeline. This bug has been fixed.
  • Sometimes, when exiting one scene (like the title screen) and entering another scene (like the credits) the game would forget what input device the player was using, and would display incorrect button prompts. This bug should be fixed now.
  • If the player got a rival arrested for narcotics, the “summaries of how every rival got eliminated” text in the confession scene would describe the girl as being arrested for murder. This oversight has been corrected.
  • When activating Nemesis in the Mission Mode menu, the player is supposed to see some windows appear onscreen describing what conditions are currently active. Those windows were not appearing. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player set a student’s custom routine to “Socialize,” the student would permanently remain in a “thinking” pose and would not engage in conversation with other nearby characters. This bug has been fixed.
  • Custom Mode was never meant to provide the option of allowing the player to assign stockings to faculty members; the inclusion of that option was an oversight. This error has been corrected.
  • If the player was holding down the control stick while loading into the protagonist’s room, incorrect button prompts would appear at the bottom of the screen. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, certain Student Personas would cause students to react to corpses by running up to the corpse, running in place, and then running away. This bug has been fixed.
  • When setting the rotation of a character’s custom hangout or custom patrol in Custom Mode, the game would sometimes not accurately save the rotation. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player waited until Osana put two bentos down on her desk, then saved and loaded the game, the two bentos would be missing upon reloading. This bug has been fixed.
  • When randomizing the protagonist, the game wasn’t recognizing a lot of hair models as valid models for randomization. This bug has been fixed.
  • In Custom Mode, if the player navigated backwards through the list of eye colors, the color brown would be skipped. This bug has been fixed.
  • A graphic of Info-chan was present in the 1980s Mode Mission Mode menu. This oversight has been corrected.
  • Fixed bug that would cause Senpai’s hair to appear pink in the Genocide Ending cutscene.
  • Fixed visual glitch that would affect Ryoba’s eyes when she giggled.
