Why are you playing with me like this? Yanderes are willing to do anything for the ones they love, even if it means killing their friends, pets, or parents, or even the person they are obsessed with. Have you ever met someone who challenges you intellectually and with whom you can engage in stimulating conversations? That’s what it means to be a yandere.
In Yandere Simulator, the protagonist is being stalked by Sakae, a wealthy patient who has been obsessed with her for six years. As the story progresses, the protagonist’s yandere nature softens, but she would still do anything to protect him. The series features several psychopaths, but being a psychopath alone doesn’t make someone a yandere. Each character in the game has their own distinct hair color, such as purple, dark green, silver, or lavender.
Atsushi, one of the characters, assumes that the reason the protagonist hasn’t touched the food he made for her is because she wants him to feed her. Wakasa, another character, follows the protagonist around and takes pictures of her, even though she works as a maid in his house. He also has a shrine covered in photos of her. The protagonist is asked by Wakasa to call him by his name instead of “otousan.”
