In Yandere Simulator, eliminating a rival through torture is a challenging method. The developer has been working on adding new elimination techniques every two weeks. Burning is one of the canonical ways to eliminate a character named Moeko, although it has been removed from the game. Previously, students wouldn't react to Ayano burning a soaked student. To successfully burn a student, the protagonist needs to splash them with gasoline, which can be found in the Shed. If the protagonist sets a student on fire by touching them with a candle, witnesses will identify her as a murderer.
Horuda kills Osana Najimi in the game. The mind-slave pushes the target to the ground and stabs them multiple times until they die. To ensure a successful burning, the protagonist must make the student touch the candle after splashing them with gasoline. The protagonist needs to obtain gasoline, a small weapon to poke a hole in the water cooler, duct tape (found in the Art Club), and a spool of thread (found in the Sewing Room).
The player can also use other methods to harm a rival's reputation or reveal their secrets. Additionally, there are missions in Mission Mode where the player is assigned tasks to kill specific students. The game offers various activities and tasks aside from the main mission, similar to RPGs where players can engage in side activities like visiting an amusement park.
To progress in the game, players need to perform immoral tasks. However, it is important to note that such actions are only applicable within the game and should not be replicated in real life. The game provides a unique and immersive experience for players to explore and engage in different gameplay elements, such as exploration and survival.
