Yandere Simulator has a mode called Mission Mode. This mode features college students in the 1980s era. In this mode, if all witnesses are afraid, the protagonist will not be caught. However, if other students witness Ayano fighting, her reputation will decrease. Instead of engaging in a fighting mini-game, the Student Council members will use pepper spray on the player if she bumps into them five times, gets too close to them with a weapon, or if they witness her commit murder, leading to an instant game over. If the Student Council members are defeated in the fighting mini-game, they will be disarmed and won't be able to fight back for the rest of the day. If Ayano loses, the delinquent will see that she can't fight anymore and will warn her. If they witness Ayano commit murder, they won't stop fighting her until she's knocked out or they're dead. At that point, the player, as Yandere-chan, will have five days to somehow eliminate the enemy, either literally or metaphorically. Only the Student Council members have this persona. If a student with the Teacher's Pet persona witnesses a murder or sees a corpse, they will run to their class instructor and inform them.
If a student witnesses Ryoba committing murder, they will take on the Sleuth persona and run out of the school. If they catch the player doing something suspicious but not incriminating, they will simply send her to the guidance counselor. Due to Ayano's expertise in martial arts, she can't be directly killed with a weapon, as doing so will always result in immediate apprehension and game over, regardless of her Self-Defense level. If Ayano doesn't equip a small, concealable weapon like a knife at the start of the mini-game, she will automatically lose, regardless of her physical training or her opponent's self-defense level. Additionally, the Student Council members cannot be killed with a large weapon. There is a cameo appearance of Rival-chan in “It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder,” where Ayano Aishi hunts her down in the woods and ultimately kills her. This version of Osana didn't have the desired tsundere look, so the appearance of Rival-chan was changed to Osana's former appearance.
Osana is Taro's childhood friend with a tsundere character. Rival-chan was included in the game as a placeholder model before Osana was fully implemented. Osana has a new appearance and retains her tsundere persona. She also appeared in the spin-off game Yandere Clicker when she was known as Osana Najimi. Rival-chan was created because YandereDev was not satisfied with the original appearance of Osana Najimi. Rival-chan is both a friend and bodyguard for rival Osana Najimi. There is a scene where Osana is reading a book by the fountain. Before the November 15th, 2015 Build, she would always stand by the first cherry tree near the school entrance. From the September 1st, 2017 Build to the April 2nd, 2018 Build, players were able to give other students Osana's hairstyle. Throughout the game, players can use heavily armored soldiers with large mechanical legs to complete missions. The scroll wheel can be used to zoom in on Yandere-chan's face. As of the April 24th, 2019 build, the mini-game has been rebalanced to make it easier to defeat anyone in the mini-game, even teachers, as long as Ayano's physical training is maxed out. The difficulty of the mini-game is based on Ayano's physical education level.
Therefore, the Student Council members have the most challenging struggle mini-game in the game, requiring at least Rank 1 in Physical Education to even start the mini-game, or else Ayano will be immediately apprehended. Self-Defense is a game mechanic in Yandere Simulator that determines how well Ayano Aishi and other NPCs will perform in combat. YandereDev has mentioned that Megami can fight on par with Raibaru. Ayano can spar with any member of the Martial Arts Club in order to train in real combat. If a student council member witnesses the sparring, they will intervene and stop the fight. If Ayano loses, she will be apprehended, resulting in a game over. Currently, Raibaru Fumetsu is the only student in the game with a self-defense level, making her the strongest character thus far. It seems that Osana does not have a self-defense level. Volunteers in this section may still be active, but they currently don't have any content left. Rival-chan did not have a programmed routine. Rival-chan is a main character in the videos “Indestructible Rival” and its sequel, “Indestructible Rival 2,” where Ayano unsuccessfully tries to kill her in multiple ways before giving up. Rival-chan was originally an extremely short girl and was the shortest character in the game.
