There's a rumor circulating that if you confess your love to someone under a specific tree on Fridays, they will accept your feelings. In the game, Ryoba had planned to confess her feelings to Jokichi under the cherry tree behind the school. However, her plans were interrupted by The Journalist who got her arrested before she could do so. It would be great to have “running Ryoba” sprites created in collaboration with an animator. Additionally, for the rival introductions, it would be nice to see them in 3D renders like these. I'm also not satisfied with some of the dialogue I wrote for the 1980s Mode rival girls and would like to re-write some of it. If possible, I would love to have the delinquent boys and girls in the 1980s Mode voiced, but that depends on finding suitable voice actors. It would add a lot more impact if they had lines. I think witnessing someone special to them getting caught would really trouble them. Oh, and one more thing – in 1980s Mode, all the rivals have the same “eye shape,” but we have eye blendshapes available that could give each girl a unique face.
Currently, it's too easy to eliminate all the rivals while they are putting their backpacks in their classrooms, with no witnesses around. To address this, I plan to add more witnesses in and around their classrooms. Some players have pointed out that befriending everyone in school makes 1980s Mode too easy, as you can simply use the “Go Away” favor to get rid of all witnesses. To make it more challenging, I want to introduce more options. You could set up the rival with another boy, tarnish her reputation, or even get her expelled from school.
The game's club leaders mention a rule, stating that you have to attend a club once a week or else you'll get kicked out. However, this rule doesn't actually exist in the game.
