Yandere Simulator offers a launcher that allows players to easily download the latest version of the demo. If you're eager to get your hands on the newest version of the game, this is your chance. In the game, Ayano must come up with a clever strategy to deal with Osana, as she will instantly recognize any attempt to harm her or Senpai. One important aspect of this strategy involves timing. At 4:11 PM, Osana takes a nap on the rooftop to avoid falling asleep during a movie, and her friend Raibaru sits next to her to make sure she isn't disturbed. If Ayano manages to turn off the alarm, Osana will continue sleeping until 6:00 PM, and Senpai will eventually leave due to boredom. On the other hand, if Osana's phone isn't stolen, Senpai will mention that he likes her favorite music, and the two of them will have lunch together. Osana, however, worries that Senpai won't like the lunch she made, but Raibaru encourages her and they return to the plaza.
During the game, Osana places two bentos on her desk. Interestingly, YandereDev once considered splitting Osana into two characters – a gentle childhood friend with Rival-chan's appearance and a tsundere childhood friend. Osana is the second tsundere character introduced by YandereDev, the first being Tsundere-chan from Kuudere Simulator. In the game's 1980's Mode, rival characters serve a similar purpose, with a total of 11 girls falling in love with Jokichi Yudasei over the course of eleven weeks. It's important to note that the first week in this mode is a tutorial and doesn't present any challenge to the player. Towards the end of the game, Osana confesses her love to Senpai and waits for him at the Confession Tree. If you're experiencing lag or performance issues with the demo, rest assured that future updates will address these problems. At the moment, Yandere Simulator is only available as a free demo. By accepting the prize, the winner of the design contest allows YandereDev to use their design in the game without any cost. Osana's design was inspired by anime characters such as Asuka Langley Sohryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion and Rin Tohsaka from Fate/stay night.
Moving on to the characters, Raibaru and Osana have been best friends since before Week 1 of the game. They are inseparable and spend all their time together, despite having only met one year ago. Due to their childhood friendship with Senpai, they don't engage in any confrontations with Ayano during the game. Taro Yamada, also known as Senpai, is a key character in Yandere Simulator and serves as Ayano's love interest and obsession. Osana is the person Hanako would be most willing to “give” Senpai to, as she doesn't view Osana as a threat or competition. Additionally, Osana values intelligence and expects any guy she dates to be a cat person.
One aspect that Yandere Simulator is widely known for is the various methods available to eliminate Ayano's romantic rivals. There are a total of 10 main rivals that players must eliminate. Jokichi Yudasei, Ryoba's husband and Ayano's father, plays a significant role in the game as a main character. Ryoba Aishi, Ayano's mother, is another important character in Yandere Simulator. The game features animation loops of Osana and Senpai talking, with the surroundings blacked out, visible through Ayano's silhouette. The stickers available for Yandere Simulator are made with high-quality vinyl and ink. They are meticulously crafted and offer premium quality. If Osana's phone wasn't stolen, Senpai compliments her on the photographs and they walk home together. However, if Ayano used the phone to take compromising pictures, Senpai will be disgusted and walk home alone. At 1:02 PM, Osana can be found reading a book at the fountain in the school's plaza. Then, at 5:00 PM, she heads to Senpai's locker and leaves a note asking him to meet her under the cherry tree.
