Yandere Simulator is an action-packed stealth video game developed by YandereDev. One of the features of the game is clubs, which offer benefits and access to certain resources. One such club is the Gardening Club, where members take care of plants in the school garden and hallways. The game has a total of eleven rivals that the player must eliminate. Another club in the game is the Sleuth Club, whose members have the Sleuth persona.
The protagonist also has access to a “Catering List” that includes students who are happy to receive free food from the Cooking Club. The protagonist can cross out the names of students who do not wish to receive food. The game features around eighty named NPCs, including the player character and others whose 3D models have yet to be introduced. Debug builds of the game already include seventy-seven killable NPCs.
Another interesting club is the Teacher's Pets Club, where the members are, as the name suggests, teacher's pets. There is also a Student Council that patrols the school and enforces the rules. Being a member of certain clubs grants the protagonist special privileges, such as instant access to certain areas or supplies.
In the game's story mode, the protagonist can join different clubs and interact with various characters. One of the rivals, Osana, can refuse to comply with the protagonist if she joins the delinquents. However, she can still be ordered to leave or distract another student through intimidation. It is revealed that Osana has developed feelings for Senpai, despite initially claiming he is not her type.
YandereDev expects players to strategize and use the available resources wisely. However, Osana losing her reputation when following the protagonist's instructions adds an additional layer of complexity. Additionally, Osana will only agree to follow the protagonist if she has a high reputation and Raibaru is not present. This suggests that Osana is cautious and selective in trusting others.
It's important to note that Yandere Simulator features various clubs and groups of students that are not actual clubs. The game also includes future plans, such as an “Endless Summer” mode, where players can continue playing without objectives. Overall, Yandere Simulator offers a unique and immersive gaming experience.
