This encounter triggers Ayano's fury and sets her off on a quest to eliminate rivals, befriend or betray, and make Taro dislike her. There are ten rival girls to deal with, all of whom Ayano sees as threats to her obsession with Taro. Ayano goes to extreme lengths, even resorting to tranquilizing and kidnapping students who get in her way.
Engaging in direct confrontations can be risky, so Ayano opts for a stealthy approach in most cases. Attacking unexpectedly in a secluded area minimizes the chances of being witnessed. Any student in the game can adopt the “Yandere” persona if they witness the murder of someone they love. It takes more than a single event to trigger such a transformation, often involving manipulations and a bigger plan. Ryoba, Ayano's mother, shares the same yandere traits.

While the developer isn't entirely anonymous, as he has posed for pictures with fans at conventions, he prefers to maintain a low-profile. This is to avoid unnecessary attention and to ensure that players understand that Ayano's romantic interest, Senpai, is off-limits to anyone else. Ayano's attachment to Senpai can lead her to act impulsively and violently when provoked.
