At the beginning of Yandere Simulator's development, my main goal was to quickly create a proof-of-concept that could be used for pitching the game on Kickstarter. The game was initially designed to generate students based on data from a spreadsheet. The Seduction Level in the game affects Ayano's interactions with the other students. In the April 15th, 2016 Build, a stats menu was introduced where players could view their current self-defense level. If desired, the tutorial pop-ups can be disabled in the settings on Ayano Aishi's phone. These pop-ups can also be found in the Settings tab on Ayano Aishi's phone. The game evolved from a “rough proof-of-concept for recording footage” to an actual part of the final game. However, some of the original “proof-of-concept” code remained in the game for quite some time. It felt like I was using Unity as a movie studio to film my game concept rather than actually building a game. The gameplay primarily focuses on stealth elements, allowing players to locate and eliminate their targets using various melee weapons.
From there, players can choose between Schemes, Drops, or Services and make purchases using panty photographs. The game provides guidance on how to use these features to search for important items such as students, blood, mops, buckets, sinks, and corpses. Ayano must maintain her reputation, gain the trust of teachers and other students, and avoid arousing suspicion from her love interest, Senpai. To join a club, players must visit the club leader in their clubroom, speak to them, and request membership. The Tutorial Pop-Ups are crucial elements of Yandere Simulator. They provide Ayano Aishi with information about club members, their roles in the school, how they might interact with her, and the consequences of killing them. During cleaning time, Ayano can be seen cleaning the fountain in the Plaza. As the months went by, Yandere Simulator slowly and gradually transformed once again. During this time, there were about 10 instances where I was rude to a fan over the course of 70 months. This represents the level of self-defense most NPCs possess.
NPCs with this level of self-defense will rarely engage in a fight against Ayano, except for those who may attempt to apprehend her if they witness her murdering their sibling, loved one, or close friend. However, the signal bars on Ayano's phone indicate her proximity to the maximum noise level. Some yandere characters resort to stalking, manipulation, or even violence to keep their love interest close to them. Even if Senpai were to develop conditions like PTSD, a complex character, or a nervous disorder, Ayano would still know how to manipulate him into instantly falling for her. I just want to know one thing: How would you react if I showed you this image? As I added features to the game one by one, my “playable proof-of-concept” gradually transformed into an actual part of the final game. Spamming buttons to overpower opponents in fights will not be effective in the final game.
This pop-up appears when the player picks up a weapon for the first time. A pop-up will also appear when the player enters Info-chan's room for the first time to explain her services. This pop-up serves as a reminder to clean up the evidence before anyone notices and to call the police. It warns players to clean up the evidence before it is discovered, as gossip will spread and their reputation will be negatively affected. In Japanese games and anime, certain character archetypes are often seen repeatedly… Eriko suddenly appears, upset by the loud noise from the male characters. This pop-up appears after Ayano attends her first class, explaining the benefits of attending class and the consequences of being late. I believed that if Yandere Simulator was an actual playable game that people could download and play, rather than just an idea described in a video presentation, they would be more likely to contribute to a crowdfunding campaign.
